Dapoxetine — the second active ingredient alongside sildenafil. Dapoxetine is a short-acting SSRI licensed for premature ejaculation; it delays climax but has no effect on erections. Combined with sildenafil's erection support, the tablet addresses both of the most common male sexual complaints at once.

That is the role of its dapoxetine component, which clinical use shows can meaningfully delay ejaculation when taken 1–3 hours before sex. Avoid it. Dapoxetine combined with alcohol notably increases the risk of dizziness and fainting, on top of alcohol's usual sabotage of erections. This warning is stronger than for plain sildenafil products — with Cenforce D, plan an alcohol-free evening for both safety and results.

Men on nitrates or poppers (sildenafil contraindication), and men taking antidepressants, MAOIs, tramadol, or other serotonergic drugs (dapoxetine contraindication). A history of fainting, significant heart disease, or bipolar disorder also rules it out without medical clearance. When in doubt, a doctor's review before first use is essential.

Either works, but a light stomach is better. High-fat meals delay sildenafil absorption, pushing onset back by up to an hour. Take the tablet with a full glass of water one to three hours before sex, ideally after a light meal rather than a heavy dinner.

No. It is a fixed-dose combination and splitting gives an unreliable share of each ingredient. If 100 mg sildenafil with 60 mg dapoxetine is more than you need, a lower-dose combination or separate medicines prescribed individually is the safer route — discuss it with your doctor.

The sildenafil component works for roughly four to six hours; dapoxetine peaks within one to two hours and is mostly cleared within a day. Both are essentially gone after 24 hours in healthy men, which is also the minimum gap required between doses — never take two tablets per day.

Don't panic. Timing, a heavy meal, alcohol, nerves, or lack of arousal can all blunt a first attempt. Try again on a separate occasion following the leaflet instructions. If several properly timed attempts fail, see your doctor rather than increasing the dose yourself.
